What is MDF?
The full name of MDF is medium-density fibreboard. Also known as medium fiberboard, fiberboard, or MDF, it is an engineered wood board, usually made from wood chips from hardwood or softwood. The method is to break the wood fibers into small pieces, bond them with wax and resin adhesives, and then press these raw materials into panels by applying high temperature and pressure . MDF is generally denser than plywood and stronger and denser than particleboard. Medium-density fiberboard is often used in custom-made furniture. The reason is that the surface of MDF is smooth, easy to apply paint or skin on the surface, and has a higher load-bearing capacity than ordinary large-core plywood (plywood), and the price is relatively affordable. In addition, Easy to cut and convenient for construction.
MDF is a board with a density of 0.50 to 0.88 g/cm3 made of wood fiber or other plant fiber as raw materials, applied with urea-formaldehyde resin or other synthetic resin, and pressed under heating and pressure conditions. Other suitable additives can also be added to improve the characteristics of the board.
Why use MDF paint finish?
1.Uniform internal structure, moderate density, good dimensional stability, small deformation.
2.Physical and mechanical properties such as static bending strength, internal bonding strength, elastic modulus, board surface and board edge screw holding force are better than particleboard.
3.The surface is flat and smooth, easy to process twice, can be pasted with rotary cut veneer, sliced veneer, paint paper, impregnated paper, can also be directly painted and printed for decoration.
4.Medium density fiberboard has a large format, and the board thickness can also vary in the range of 2.5 to 35mm, and can be produced according to different uses.
5.Good mechanical processing performance, sawing, drilling, tenoning, milling, sanding and other processing performance is similar to wood, and some are even better than wood.
6.It is easy to carve and mill into furniture parts of various shapes and shapes, and the processed special-shaped edges can be directly painted without edge sealing.
7.Chemical agents such as waterproofing agents, fire retardants, preservatives, etc. can be added during the production process of medium density fiberboard to produce medium density fiberboard for special purposes.
8.Spraying effect: MDF is a material with a smooth surface. Spraying equipment can provide a uniform and smooth spraying effect, making the surface of MDF board more beautiful.

9.Automation control: MDF spraying equipment usually adopts an automated control system, which can accurately control the parameters in the spraying process, such as spraying speed, spraying thickness, etc., to improve spraying efficiency and quality.
10.Fast spraying: MDF spraying equipment usually has a high spraying speed, which can quickly complete large-area spraying work and improve production efficiency.
11.Spraying uniformity: MDF spraying equipment can achieve uniform spraying, avoid uneven thickness or dripping of paint, and improve spraying quality.
12.Environmentally friendly: Modern MDF spraying equipment usually adopts environmentally friendly paint and spraying process to reduce the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and meet environmental protection requirements.
13.Multi-function spraying: MDF spraying equipment usually has a variety of spraying modes and adjustment options to meet different spraying needs, such as painting, gluing, printing, etc.
Because it has the above characteristics, many of our products will use this MDF surface spray paint treatment. For example, our jewelry kiosk, watch display, smoke vape showcase, perfume kiosk, etc.
